Positive thinking

Positive thinking dramatically increases the probability of success in any endeavor. When you’re sure that you are worthy & that achievement is within your grasp, you start to relax & look for solutions rather than dwelling on problems. You are more likely to imagine positive situations or outcomes & disregard the thoughts related to giving up, failure, or roadblocks. What the mind expects, it finds. If you anticipate joy, good health, happiness, and accomplishment, then you will experience each one.

Thinking positively may sound like a simple shift in attention – and it is – but it is a mind-set that must be developed. Whenever a negative thought enters your mind, try immediately replacing it with a constructive or optimistic one. With persistence, you can condition your mind to judge fleeting, self-defeating thoughts as inconsequential & dismiss them.

A psychologist helps you to develop self empowerment skills.

Success and Failure

Psychologist Anmol Singh

Analyzing Success And Failure

One feels positive and joyful when one realizes that he/she is successful. However, when he/she faces failure, one feels defeated.

The definition of success and failure varies from one person to person according to the stage of life a person is at that point of time. It is important to have success and failure well defined for yourself, because, based on your definition, you feel happiness, wholeness and greater or lesser inner well being. There are different levels of success and of failure.

For example, for some the greatest success is to be happy and radiant, whatever happens inside or outside. If one manages to keep happy in the face of failure & adverse condition for him/her it is a success. Because to be happy means that I am connected with my essential worth or inner self, my being is awake and alive. Failure does not reduce my vitality, my contentment levels. The greater or fewer academic/materialistic achievements do not reduce the quality of the inner being or of being happy.

The important thing is that you believe in your own definition of success and failure.

A psychologist helps you understand the definition of success and failure.

Obsession and Reality

Obsession and reality

Bipolar disorder is the coexistence of two conditions in an individual i.e depression and mania.

Mania engulfs an individual and his/her confidence. The obsession in him/her is so strong that individual becomes oblivious to reality. Generally one confides in someone close to you expecting him/her to pull out of the delusion whenever you drift on a wrong path.

Everyone is not the right person to confide in about ones mental condition. The immature society, that conveniently neglects the mental issues, makes you face the apathy to the extent of damaging you adversely.  In case this society acknowledges mental condition it tags you a mental wreck, gone astray for good.

In case of Mental disorder one fights one’s own battle all alone. When feeling low do not name it depression unless scientifically diagnosed by the qualified person. You may be sad, it may be a temporary emotion, you can be cheered up but depression can be suicide provoking, it definitely needs treatment.

In such condition a Psychologist helps you develop a better understanding of self enabling you become stronger and more confident.
