Interaction with Toxic people (bullies) at times is the reason for stress that manifests itself in many ways –insomnia, psychological ailments, depression etc. Consistent exposure corrodes away confidence, makes one skeptical about own capabilities thus results in loss of self belief. One opts for avoidance coping strategies like drinking alcohol to cut down on experiencing frequent negative emotions. Instead one needs professional counselling to learn to deal with own emotions in order to change self to raise own morale and life more exciting.

It adversely affects one's routine tasks even basic
everyday activity like taking a walk, taking a shower, sleep (lack of sleep
(insomnia)/ too much sleep), memory etc. Change your daily life style. Take a break
from gadgets, go for vacation and rejuvenate in the silence of nature,
minimise junk food intake, pursue hobbies, music, reading books is highly
recommended. Cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) helps in managing anxiety,
stress & mental fatigue.

Pretending everything is fine in personal life stops one from admitting
and seeking help to maintain one’s mental health. The prejudices prevailing
around builds up a perception that directs one’s actions/interactions. Always
maintaining a smile on face to conceal unhappiness is very taxing. The persistent need to fake
or suppress feelings at times forces one to become an addict e.g, alcoholic, smoker;
drugs etc. to hold back his/her negative emotions. Aim to remain self motivated, stress free, flexible; accept a situation and
control your emotional outbursts to while responding to the adverse conditions. Do not hold back your emotions
that define you; always give expression for your own happiness.

In life changes keep on taking place and some changes create
circumstances beyond our control thus stressing us. The stress level can be
kept in check by controlling our responses to these circumstances. Believe in self,
remain positive, suffering is universal & inevitable, keep expectations
& desires in check and maintain right speech & action. The key to
happiness lies within us, cultivate generosity, tolerance, truthfulness, love
and determination instead of promoting human afflictions like greed, hate,
anxiety, fear, envy and passion.

Drive away your fears, control repetitive & compulsive reaction and create a balance between mind and body. Being happy and joyful means leading a stress free life. Nature provides serene environment in which one gets the opportunity to converse with GOD in the quietness and have a Divine connect. Mind is difficult to control however emoting from heart in personal conversation with god, unburdening oneself, seeking benevolence invites divine grace.
A carefree, expectation free & detached rather than a stressful worried approach to our dreams lets one live happily in today rather than making our happiness dependent on achievements of future. Avoid getting upset & discouraged that makes the journey difficult & tiring. The worries and stress not only harm the emotional self but even our physical body & relationships. Remember happiness is not later, it is always now.

Role of parents in the upbringing of child.
Parents obsessed with examination outcome of children
must endeavour to provide a conducive environment at home in which the child
grows, studies and prepares for his/her future. The social
relationships/interactions & behaviour patterns are keenly observed by
children while growing up, the perception so built up contributes to his/her success.
Focus needs to be on the feel good factor of child, optimum assertiveness and
warmth is desirable. The regular conversation/social interaction face to face,
acknowledgement, rewards & recognition for small-big achievements, leisure
time physical activity like outdoor sports, and vacation amongst nature helps
child acquire skills to sustain cut throat competition. Impressionable minds
must not be allowed to waste time and energy in virtual & deceptive world
of the digital technology (smart phones), the latest addiction pushing them
into their cocoons (physical & mental isolation).

Sulking Child - Happiness enhancing Hormones.
Child is not happy in life despite blessed with the
best of everything in life. Do not understand the real cause of unhappiness.
Just give this a try to make your child & yourself stay happy and well
prepared to deal with challenges and problems better.
1. Start outdoor sports/exercise half an hour
daily. Our body releases Endorphins (hormone)
that helps the body cope with the pain of exercising. Soon we start enjoying
exercise because Endorphins make us happy. Laughter is another way of
generating Endorphins. Read or watch funny stuff to get our day's dose of
Endorphins.
2. Acknowledge, appreciate & reward each and
every small-big accomplishment/ achievement to facilitating release of Dopamine (another hormone) that makes
feel good & happy.
3. Motivate to share and act for the benefit of
others or nature or the society and become nice human being, it releases Serotonin (another hormone) that
determines human happiness.
4. Hug each other, hold hands or put arms around
other’s shoulders, Oxytocin (another
happiness enhancing hormone) is released.
Taking time to understand purpose of life &
expectations, thinking big, having long term vision, identifying & taking
concrete steps to accomplish goal, Self belief, motivation, integrity, taking
inspiration from insights in journey of life, respect for others and own well
being must be on priority list to lead a happy life.
